Preparing to Jamboree
For the Woking Contingent to travel to the 20th World Jamboree in Thailand there are
three main stages to their preparation:
- SELECTION (held in summer 2001) - You can
read about how they got on by following
the "Selection" link to the left.
- TRAINING - A continuous process running from September 2001 to December 2002.
They will train as part of the two Surrey County Contingents. You can keep track of
their progress by following the
"Training" link to the left.
- FUNDRAISING - The contingent
needs to raise around £32,000. You can view their progress and see who
their sponsors are by following the "Fundraising" link to the left .
At the same time, hundreds more Scouts throughout the United Kingdom are
preparing to go to the Jamboree. Keep up to date with the progress of the UK
