Republic of China (Taiwan) - 8 January to 11 January

Keelung PortMembers of the Surrey Contingent 1 (Alex, Chris, Dan, Jez, Kieran and Steve) will head off to Taiwan after they leave the Jamboree. Here they will spend time living with local Scouting families and learn about their country, culture and Scouting in Taiwan.

Chung Cheng ParkThe contingent will be staying in a Keelung City (pronounced Chilung) on the NE coast of Taiwan. It is the third largest container port in Taiwan, with a population of approximately 385,000. It is a prosperous city with rolling green hillsides overlooking the city, but also has the reputation of being one of the wettest parts of Taiwan in the winter, just like home then!
