Fundraising for the Woking Contingent

With around £32,000 to raise, fundraising is a major priority for the Woking Contingent. To accomplish this they have embarked on a major fundraising programme, a summary of which is below. Follow the links to the left for more details.

December 2001 Alex busking in Brookwood. Over £200 raised from the generous donations of Christmas shoppers in Brookwood.
14-Feb-2002 to 16-Feb-2002 The Contingent put on a visual display outside the Horsell Scout & Guide Gangshow - Rhoda McGaw Theatre. Over £330 raised from the generous donations of the Gangshow audience.
16-Feb-2002 Dan & Mike compete in the Southern 50 competition in the Chilterns. They have both sought sponsorship. Several hundred pounds raised through personal sponsorship.
02-Mar-2002 The Woking Contingent will perform for shoppers outside Waitrose, Goldsworth Park. Over £370 raised from the generous donations of the Waitrose customers.
15-Mar-2002 The Contingent will act as ushers at the Woking D of E presentation evening and will also put on a visual display. Nearly £60 raised from the generous donations of the D of E presentation evening guests.
30-Mar-2002 The Woking Contingent will perform for shoppers outside Safeways, Goldsworth Road, Woking. Over £500 raised from the generous donations of Safeway customers.
09-Apr-2002 Theatre goers for Godspell will donate part of their ticket price towards the Woking Contingent's funds in a special arrangement with The New Victoria Theatre, Woking. Over £280 raised from this highly successful promotion.
13-Apr-2002 The Woking Contingent will help shoppers pack bags at Sainsbury's, Brookwood. See 04-May-2002.
21-Apr-2002 The Woking Contingent will put on a visual display and perform for attendees of the Woking District Scouts St. George's Day Service See 27-Apr-2002
27-Apr-2002 The Woking Contingent will put on a visual display and perform for attendees of the PRI launch in Woking District at Bishop David Brown School. Over £130 raised from the generous donations of Woking District Scouts and their families.
04-May-2002 The Woking Contingent will help shoppers pack bags at Sainsbury's, Brookwood. Over the two days of bag packing nearly £300 was raised from the generous donations of Sainsbury's and its customers.
06-May-2002 The Woking Contingent will run a visual display at the Horsell Mayfair. The display was run solely to raise the profile of the Woking Contingent.
22-Jun-2002 Dan & Mike will run a stall and visual display at 7th Woking's summer fete. The stall and display were run solely to raise the profile of the Woking Contingent.
11-Sep-2002 The Woking Contingent will put on a visual display and perform for attendees of the County AGM. The display was run solely to raise the profile of the Woking Contingent.
