Kieran - former 1st Byfleet

Kieran - 1st ByfleetWhen I went on the selection weekend and saw the amount of good scouts that were there I realised it wasn't going to be as easy as I thought. So when I was finally selected at the end of the weekend I was totally shocked and amazed. I can't wait for the Jamboree as it is going to be one big party. I will meet so many different people and find out about so many different cultures and am sure I will remember this once in a life opportunity for the rest of my life.

A bit about me

I am in my second year at Mid-Kent College, Maidstone, where I am studying AVCE Leisure and Recreation. When I am not at college I am either working at Mote Park Leisure Centre or playing a lot of sport. I enjoy playing any kind of sport but particularly rugby football and am currently a member of the Maidstone Monarchs Under 18's team.

I have also been learning Judo for 10 years, during which time I became the youngest brown belt in Surrey receiving it shortly after my 15th birthday. I fought for Surrey in the County Championship and gained Silver. I have also fought for England in the Welsh Open in 1999, but unfortunately just missed out on a medal. In my spare time I like to visit my Troop, 1st Byfleet which I unfortunately had to leave when I moved down to Kent.
